MakeAccess
Building bridges
across times
and cultures.
Mind’s Eye owners, Marc and Leah Daniels also operate MakeAccess Iqyax Apprenticeships, a non-profit that collaborates with Native Alaskan and local California tribal communities to facilitate indigenous boatbuilding revitalization efforts here and in Alaska. MakeAccess was created as a Dream Maker Project of the Ink People Center for the Arts in Humboldt County, with the stated mission of “Exploring the science and tradition of skin boat building as it relates to contemporary Unangax life, inspiring a new generation of tradition bearers. Also to serve as a bridge from the past to the future and between diverse cultures”.
Follow our work here in California and in the Unangax lands of Alaska on our facebook page.
MakeAccess can receive donations and grants through the Dream Maker 501c3.
